Board of Directors

The Yarmouth Food Pantry Board of Directors is committed to fighting food insecurity across Cape Cod. Each year, with the help of our all-volunteer staff, we plan two food drives ‒ one in August and one in November, which are held at local grocery stores across the town of Yarmouth ‒ and a golf tournament fundraiser in November. We also take part in the U.S. Postal Service’s annual Stamp Out Hunger® in May‒ the nation’s largest one-day food drive.

Additionally, we oversee a number of client-based programs. Designed by a registered dietician, our Meal of the Month program aims to educate clients about healthy food choices by introducing them to a new recipe, which we distribute with all the necessary ingredients to prepare at home. The program allows us to dispense surplus food items while inspiring clients to try new easy-to-make recipes.

For our youngest clients, we assemble healthy snack packs for the weekend that include milk or juice boxes, fruit cups, granola bars, oatmeal and other healthy items to tide them over until they return to school on Monday.
