Grants

Yarmouth Food Pantry

The Yarmouth Food Pantry continues to grow. We started to feed the needy of our community in September, 2010. As of May 31, 2015 we have registered 1,963 households and 4,272 individuals.    We distributed 1,087 bags of food this past May to 718 people from 295 households, consisting of 458 adults, 216 children, and 44 seniors.   Children continue to be 31% of those individuals registered.

Grants, totaling $24K, were awarded from Cape Cod Foundation, Cape and Islands United Way, and The Greater Boston Food Bank.   Food collections are stronger than ever and the food goes right to our shelves for distribution. We operate on grants, donated money, food and our collections. Over 85 individuals volunteer their time, talent, and income to the food pantry on a weekly basis.  Many volunteers work 2 -10 hours weekly. Whether you volunteer food, time, or money – all donations go to a valued cause for our community and help to feed those in need.
