Grants

Yarmouth Food Pantry

The Yarmouth Food Pantry continues to grow. We started to feed the needy of our community in September, 2010. As of November 30. 2018 we have registered 3352 households and 7193 individuals.    We distributed 1142 bags of food in November 2018 to 802 people from 296 households, consisting of 446 adults, 270 children, and 86 seniors.   Children continue to be 31% of those individuals registered.

Grants, totaling $24K, were awarded from Cape Cod Foundation, Cape and Islands United Way, and The Greater Boston Food Bank.   Food collections are stronger than ever and the food goes right to our shelves for distribution. We operate on grants, donated money, food and our collections. Over 85 individuals volunteer their time, talent, and income to the food pantry on a weekly basis.  Many volunteers work 2 -10 hours weekly. Whether you volunteer food, time, or money – all donations go to a valued cause for our community and help to feed those in need.
