The Yarmouth Food Pantry has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Community Bag Program for the month of December, 2020.

The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work. Yarmouth Food Pantry was selected as December’s beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop located at 474 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. We will receive a $1 donation every time a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during December, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

“We are delighted to have been named the beneficiary of December’s Community Bag Program,” says Sue Martin, Executive Director of the Yarmouth Food Pantry. “The program is wonderful because it not only allows us to help feed our fellow neighbors, it also helps us reduce our collective carbon footprint with the use of reusable bags.”

The Community Bags are located on displays around the store and at the checkout. For more information about the program, please visit stopandshop.bags4mycause.com.
